UC Treat
Following on from the success of CD-Treat for Crohn’s disease, Cure Crohn’s Colitis has donated £50,000 towards further IBD dietary therapy research conducted by scientists at the University of Glasgow, this time for people who suffer from ulcerative colitis.
Recruitment for the study, investigating how a diet high in fibre and fermented foods affects gut bacteria in UC, started in 2024.
The research project is recruiting adults over 16-years-old with ulcerative colitis currently in remission and on a stable dose of medication for at least two months.
You must live in Scotland and be prepared to visit Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI) on three separate occasions.
All travel expenses to the GRI will be reimbursed, and participants will receive £100 in shopping vouchers.
